A PASSION BORN ON PAVEMENT

“Nothing really spoke to me like driving did. It was the only thing I found where everything on my mind just completely faded away because I was focused on what was directly ahead of me.”

FUNCTION BUILT ART CARS, FUNDED BY ARTWORKS

"When I started out as an artist, I didn’t in any way own my (dream) car, and so I would paint it instead. However, after taking off as an artist, in February of 2022, I was able to buy my M3, entirely funded by the proceeds from my artwork. I feel as if the car is a physical representation of my story, and how my affinity as an enthusiast has led me to being able to live and drive my dream.

I knew that – as an artist – I wanted to create my own personal 'Art Car', inspired of course by the wonderful BMW Art Cars."

- Rae Roberts for BMW M, 2024 (In re: Art Car 1.0, the "E92 M3 TRACK EDITION")

FINDING THE LIMITS TO BREAK THEM

"With that car, I’ve done a lot of track driving to prepare myself for racing. I use it as a training car. Last year for example I did 30 track days within 60 calendar days on eight different tracks in two states. It got exhausting, but never boring. And since the end of last year, I am now a proud racing license holder."
